Avalanche: 3 Best Options to Replace Francouz

In maybe the least surprising news of the Colorado Avalanche offseason, it's being reported that backup goaltender Pavel Francouz is still injured. This has been a common theme for the goaltender since he joined the team in 2018. Francouz has been an ample backup when he's played for Colorado, but his durability is almost non-existent, as he's played in just 37 games over the past three seasons. The Avalanche have a very good starter in Alexandar Georgiev – who piled up 62 appearances last season on the way to an NHL-leading 40 victories – but keeping him rested for the postseason will be imperative.

Former Rangers Still Looking for New Homes in 2023-24

The 2023-24 NHL regular season is just one month away, much to the excitement of all hockey fans. Interestingly, many of these free agents are former Rangers. Patrick Kane is the most notable former Ranger still without a contract for the 2023-24 season. Kane, 34, appeared in 73 games last season split between the Chicago Blackhawks and Rangers, scoring 21 goals and recording 57 points.

Columbus Blue Jackets: 3 Potential PTO Options

Training camp is rapidly approaching and the Columbus Blue Jackets have an abundance of players competing for a spot on their roster this coming season. Whether it's a forward who can occasionally chip in on the scoresheet or a goaltender who becomes a reliable backup, there are always a few surprise players around the league that prove themselves in training camp. Nolan Patrick is a former second-overall pick, and injuries have massively derailed his career. There isn't much known about his current health status, although if he's healthy enough to attempt another comeback, then he may be worth a look from the Blue Jackets.
