Jake Neighbours (St. Louis Blues) with a Goal vs. Detroit Red Wings, 03/23/2023
Getting a feel for the NHL, even just a handful of games near the end of the season, will benefit Detroit Red Wings top 2021 pick Simon Edvinsson in many ways. “I think it helps a lot when you get some games in, just how fast it really goes, just how physical you need to be,” Edvinsson said. Edvinsson is prepared for his third game tonight when St. Louis visits Little Caesars Arena (7 p.m., Bally Sports). Coach Derek Lalonde said it'll be a game-time decision between Edvinsson and Gustav Lindstrom, both dealing with minor injuries.
Detroit Red Wings prospects continue to shine on the big stage. With division tournaments coming to a close, a lot is still at stake for a lot of these young collegiate players. The start of the NCAA Tournament is just around the corner, and there will be many familiar faces in the race to the Frozen Four. The NCAA Tournament begins today, March 23rd, and it's time to get excited for what is to come.
