The 2022 offseason has arrived for the Bruins, and it could be a franchise-altering summer with Patrice Bergeron's future in Boston unclear.
Sweeney Addressed Left-Shot Need With Lindholm Two days before the trade deadline, Sweeney addressed the left-shot defensive need by adding Hampus Lindholm from the Anaheim Ducks. The following day, the Bruins agreed to an eight-year, $52 million contract extension, locking him up on the top pair with Charlie McAvoy. Lindholm was injured in Game 2 and missed three straight games before returning for Games 6 and 7.
Yesterday was “break-up day” for the Bruins, as the team and its players held the annual end-of-season media availability.
