No. 1 Star: Shea Weber, Nashville Predators

Down 3-2 late in the third period against the Detroit Red Wings, Weber provided the dramatics with a pair of goals in the final 4:24 to give the Predators a 4-3 win. Weber's first goal, which tied the game, came via Nashville's only power play and helped the Predators to their fourth straight win and snapped Detroit's three-game win streak. His second came thanks to a great bounce on the ice:

No. 2 Star: Michal Neuvirth, Washington Capitals

The Capitals needed just one goal to beat the Winnipeg Jets and improve to 4-4-0 under Coach Dale Hunter. Alex Ovechkin scored his 10th of the year with 1:14 left in the third period to help snap Winnipeg's five-game win streak at MTS Centre. Neuvirth made 26 saves for his fifth career shutout and his second win in three starts.

No. 3 Star: Drayson Bowman, Carolina Hurricanes

In a five-minute span between the second and third periods, Bowman scored his third and fourth career goals as the Hurricanes edged the Vancouver Canucks 4-3. The last time Bowman scored in the NHL was a two-goal night against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Apr. 6, 2010. Cam Ward stopped 33 shots, including this crease rob job on Keith Ballard:

Honorable mention: Davis Drewiske and Dustin Brown scored 3:39 apart early in the third period as the Los Angeles Kings snapped a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jonathan Quick made 24 saves for his 12th win of the year ... Andrej Meszaros' goal 8:08 into the third period broke a 3-3 tie to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens, their seventh in a row. Matt Carle recorded three assists and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 28 shots. Louis Leblanc scored his first NHL goal for the Habs ... Down 2-1 in the third period, Brenden Morrow and Jamie Benn scored 3:26 apart to power the Dallas Stars over the New York Islanders 3-2. Rookie netminder Richard Bachman made 25 saves for his third straight win ... Steven Stamkos needed just 30 seconds of overtime to net his 19th goal of the year and give the Tampa Bay Lightning a 6-5 win over the Calgary Flames:

David Perron netted his second goal of the season and Alex Steen scored and added an assist as the St. Louis Blues downed the New York Rangers 4-1. Brian Elliott made 25 saves and won for the ninth time in 10 games ... Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Ray Whitney and Martin Hanzal each had two points as the Phoenix Coyotes got by the Edmonton Oilers 4-2. Taylor Hall had both Oilers goals ... The San Jose Sharks scored three times in 4:29 in the third period to complete a come-from-behind 5-4 win over the Colorado Avalanche. After Joe Pavelski tied it, Logan Couture tipped home a Patrick Marleau shot to give the Sharks the lead for good:

Dishonorable mention: The Flyers announced before their game against the Habs that captain Chris Pronger will miss the rest of the season because of severe post-concussion syndrome ... In more concussion news, Islanders forward Brian Rolston left the game in the first period with one.
