No. 1 Star: David Booth(notes), Florida Panthers

It was Booth's first game against the Philadelphia Flyers since Mike Richards(notes) concussed him with a devastating hit on Oct. 24, and the Panthers power forward settled some scores. He fought Richards and had a four-point night, completing the Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal and three assists. The Panthers snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 7-4 victory; Michael Frolik(notes) scored twice while Stephen Weiss(notes) netted his 23rd and Jason Garrison(notes) scored his first career goal. For the Flyers, Danny Briere(notes) (22) and Jeff Carter(notes) (29) were among the scorers.

No. 2 Star: Paul Stastny(notes), Colorado Avalanche

The U.S. Olympian's first game back with the Avs Stastny had a three-assist effort in a big 4-3 win at the Anaheim Ducks, snapping their 11-game home winning streak. His drive to the net in the third period set up T.J. Galiardi's(notes) key fourth goal for Colorado. Impressive win for the young Avs.

No. 3 Star: Niklas Backstrom(notes), Minnesota Wild

The Calgary Flames didn't exactly test him, but Backstrom still made 29 saves in hostile territory for his fifth shutout of the season. The Wild beat the Flames, 4-0, to move within four points of the eight seed.

Honorable mention: Mike Green(notes) scored the go-ahead goal in the third period as the Washington Capitals defeated Ryan Miller(notes) (37 saves) and the Buffalo Sabres, 3-1. ... Ryan Kesler(notes) scored twice, Alex Burrows(notes) scored his 28th and Mikael Samuelsson(notes) his 22nd in the Vancouver Canucks' convincing 6-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Henrik and Daniel Sedin(notes) both had three assists. .. Niklas Hjalmarsson(notes), Dustin Byfuglien(notes) and Jonathan Toews(notes) scored in the third period to blow open a tie game, and the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 5-2. Devan Dubnyk(notes) made 42 saves in the loss.

Dishonorable mention: Hours after getting a vote of confidence at the trade deadline, Michael Leighton(notes) of the Flyers was pulled at 12:40 of the second period when Florida went up 4-2. ... Jimmy Howard(notes) was pulled in the second period for Chris Osgood(notes), after giving up four goals. ... Nicklas Lidstrom(notes) posted a rare minus-3 for the Wings. ... The Flyers and Panthers had three fights in the first 2:45 of their game. ... Finally, congrats to Peter Mueller(notes) for his first goal as an Avalanche player, and condolences to Jonas Hiller(notes) and the Ducks for this softy.
