The beauty of this Mikhail Grabovski shootout goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night is its effortlessness: One swooping, spinning move that saw him go back to the forehand to beat Ty Conklin(notes) and send St. Louis Blues announcer Darren Pang into hysterics.
As skills competition tallies go, this one's a keeper.
Man, Grabo beat Conklin like he was a reveler in Yaletown ...
Leafs won the shootout on a Tyler Bozak(notes) goal and a Patrik Berlund miss, defeating the visiting Blues 6-5 after blowing a 3-goal lead in the third period. Grabovski scored his 15th of the season in the second period; it wasn't nearly as pretty.
It's also not the first time he's busted out the spin-o-rama in the shootout. But going back to the forehand was nasty.
