No. 1 Star: Tomas Vokoun(notes), Florida Panthers

The Panthers find the win column on the back of their netminder, as Vokoun made 27 saves for his 39th career shutout in a 3-0 victory at the Calgary Flames. Ten of those saves came in the first two periods; he stopped 17 shots in a brilliant third period to close the book on this one. Radek Dvorak(notes) had two goals and Shawn Matthias(notes) scored his first for Florida.

No. 2 Star: Mikko Koivu(notes), Minnesota Wild

The Edmonton Oilers held a 2-1 lead in the second period, seeking to avoid a 14th straight loss in Minnesota. That was until Koivu scored twice on the power play in less than a minute, and had the primary helper on Matt Cullen's(notes) power-play goal in the third period. The Wild won, 4-2, as Niklas Backstrom(notes) stopped 24 shots to move to 12-0-0 against Edmonton at home in his career. The Wild went 4-for-6 on the power play.

No. 3 Star: Mike Fisher(notes), Ottawa Senators

Fisher opened the scoring with one of the best shifts of the young season and an unassisted goal, and then scored from the slot on the power play with 5:57 left in the game to give Ottawa its first win of the season, 3-2, over the Carolina Hurricanes. The Sens overcame a blown 2-goal lead and an injury to starting goalie Pascal Leclaire(notes). Eric Staal(notes) and Sergei Samsonov(notes) scored for the Canes.

Honorable mention: Steve Stamkos scored his fourth of the season and Pavel Kubina's(notes) third-period goal proved to be the game-winner as the Tampa Bay Lightning won in Simon Gagne's(notes) return to Philly, 3-2, over the Flyers. Dan Ellis(notes) made 24 saves. ... Steve Sullivan(notes) scored two goals and Anders Lindback(notes) stopped 32 shots for this second straight win, as the Nashville Predators remained undefeated with a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Blues. Lindback was strong in the third, where the Blues outshot the Preds 12-2. Cal O'Reilly(notes) had three assists for Nashville. T.J. Oshie(notes) scored his first and Matt D'Agostini his third for the Blues. ... Brian Elliott(notes) made 19 saves in relief for Ottawa. ... Brad Richards(notes) had a goal and two assists, while Loui Eriksson(notes), Brenden Morrow(notes) and James Neal(notes) added goals, as the Dallas Stars spoiled Mike Modano's(notes) return to Texas with a 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. ...
