NHL roundup: Stars' Seguin sinks former club in OT

Tyler Seguin beat his old team Monday with a wrister at 2:59 into overtime, giving the Dallas Stars a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.

Seguin's 22nd goal of the season was set up by John Klingberg and Jamie Benn. For Klingberg, it was his 35th assist, tops among all defenseman. It was Benn's second helper of the game.

With the win, the Stars begin a four-game road trip through the Eastern Conference with a two-point day.

The Bruins forced overtime with Ryan Spooner's fifth goal off a point blast at 11:21 of the third period. Kari Lehtonen made the initial save on Spooner's shot, but the puck appeared to bounce off a Stars defender and trickled just past the goal line.

Lehtonen was solid most of the game, though, coming up with 30 saves to earn the win. Anton Khudobin was saddled with the defeat for Boston after stopping 29 of 32 shots.

Avalanche 3, Ducks 1

Nathan MacKinnon continues to score and Colorado is now riding a seven-game winning streak thanks to a 3-1 victory over Anaheim in Denver.

MacKinnon's tally midway through the second period served as the winner and capped a wild stretch at the Pepsi Center. Avalanche goalie Jonathan Bernier was under siege but made a series of stops - including a fantastic desperation diving save on Ryan Kesler - seconds before MacKinnon used a defender as a screen as he whipped home a shot from the slot for his 20th goal of the season.

Sharks 4, Kings 1

Chris Tierney had a goal and an assist for his fourth multi-point performance of the season and San Jose took a 4-1 win over Los Angeles at Staples Center.

Barclay Goodrow, Mikkel Boedker and Joe Thornton also scored for the Sharks, who won their second consecutive game. San Jose improved to 3-1-0 against the Kings in the final meeting of the regular season between the teams.

Trevor Lewis scored the Kings' lone goal. Los Angeles lost its fourth game in a row, matching its worst streak of the season.
