NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are six games scheduled for tonight.

Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton) – W - $8,600 FanDuel, $8,600 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Connor McDavid is almost always a good pick. Despite how expensive if he, it’s hard to argue with 53 points in 31 games. If you want a cheaper alternative who can match him on most nights though, consider his teammate, Draisaitl. He’s red hot right now, scoring at least a goal in each of his last five games and at least a point in seven straight contests. He’s up to 17 goals and 46 points in 31 games, which puts him in second place in the NHL’s scoring race.

Mark Stone (Vegas) – W - $7,700 FanDuel, $6,900 DraftKings, $29 Yahoo

Stone is on an eight-game point streak and what’s even more amazing is that he’s recorded multiple points in five of those eight contests. He’s up to six goals and 16 points over that eight-game span, bringing him up to 10 goals and 33 points in 25 contests this season.

J.T. Miller (Vancouver) – C - $6,100 FanDuel, $6,300 DraftKings, $20 Yahoo

Miller has been a regular contributor lately, recording at least a point in 10 of his last 14 contests. He was pretty reliable in the early weeks of the season too with his only real slump coming in the form of a four-game drought from Feb. 6-13. He’s contributed eight goals and 27 points in 29 games this season.

Bargain Bin: Elias Lindholm (CGY) - $6,000 FanDuel/$5,000 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Bo Horvat (VAN) - $5,700 FanDuel/$5,900 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Paul Stastny (WPG) - $5,300 FanDuel/$3,800 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo, Jonathan Drouin (MON) - $5,100 FanDuel/$3,600 DraftKings/$15 Yahoo, Alex Iafallo (LAK) - $4,800 FanDuel/$4,000 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo, Tim Stuetzle (OTT) - $4,600 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

Ivan Provorov (Philadelphia) - $5,300 FanDuel, $4,200 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

Provorov has contributed at least a point in three of his last four games. He has four goals and 14 points in 26 contests, so he’s not always a great pick, but while he’s hot he’s worth considering given his reasonable price.

Neal Pionk (Winnipeg) - $5,100 FanDuel, $4,700 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

Pionk is having the best season of his career from a points-per-game perspective with three goals and 23 points in 28 games in 2020-21. He’s been particularly effective lately, chipping in seven assists over his last six games.

Bargain Bin: Quinn Hughes (VAN) - $5,100 FanDuel/$5,500 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Josh Morrissey (WPG) - $4,800 FanDuel/$4,000 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Shayne Gostisbehere (PHI) - $4,400 FanDuel/$4,800 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo

Marc-Andre Fleury (Vegas) - $8,500 FanDuel, $8,500 DraftKings, $40 Yahoo

Fleury stopped 23 of 24 shots against San Jose on Monday and he’ll have another match against the Sharks tonight. He’s been one of the league’s top goaltenders this season with a 15-5-0 record, 1.77 GAA, and .936 save percentage in 20 starts.

Bargain Bin: Carey Price (MON) - $8,000 FanDuel/$7,900 DraftKings/$27 Yahoo, Thatcher Demko (VAN) - $7,400 FanDuel/$8,100 DraftKings/$33 Yahoo
