NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out Rotoworld's Player News, and follow @Rotoworld_ HK and @CoreAbbott on Twitter.

Wednesday night has two games on tap.

Forwards:

Auston Matthews (Toronto) - C - $8,700 (FanDuel), $8,300 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

Matthews has scored nine times during his seven-game goal streak. He has racked up 25 shots and he’s added assist during that span. Matthews has been held off the scoresheet in just one of his 12 appearances this season. Additionally, he has 12 goals and 18 points in 15 career matches against Montreal. There's also the option to stack him with Mitch Marner and/or Zach Hyman.

David Pastrnak (Boston) - W - $8,600 (FanDuel), $8,500 (DraftKings), $35 (Yahoo)

Pastrnak has been a scoring machine this campaign with five markers and three helpers in four games. He has racked up five goals and nine helpers in his last six outings against the Rangers. If you are having trouble making a lineup work with Matthews and Pastrnak then Brad Marchand could work in this spot as well.

Josh Anderson (Montreal) - W - $5,000 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)

Anderson has lit the lamp four times in his last three outings and he has added one assist for a four-game point streak going into Wednesday night’s action. He has been credited with 13 shots on target during that stretch. Anderson potted a pair of goals versus Toronto back on Jan. 13 in the season opener and he has six markers in 14 career outings against the Maple Leafs.

Bargain Bin: Nick Ritchie (BOS) - W - $4,200 (FanDuel), $4,200 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo), Ryan Strome (NYR) - C - $4,900 (FanDuel), $3,400 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), David Krejci (BOS) - C - $5,800 (FanDuel), $4,100 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Nick Suzuki (MTL) - C - $5,200 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), Zach Hyman (TOR) - W - $4,900 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Matt Grzelcyk (Boston) - $3,900 (FanDuel), $4,100 (DraftKings), $14 (Yahoo)

Grzelcyk is trending towards being back in the lineup on Wednesday night. He last played on Jan. 28 because of a lower-body injury. Injuries have stood in the way early in the 2020-21, but Grzelcyk has played well when he’s been available. He has three assists, 13 shots and four blocks in five appearances. He has some bang for the buck upside if he gets the green light to return.

Bargain Bin: Ben Chiarot (MTL) - $3,800 (FanDuel), $3,700 (DraftKings), $14 (Yahoo), Adam Fox (NYR) - $4,500 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Frederik Andersen (Toronto) - $8,200 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)

Andersen is a good mix of salary and strong play of late. He has stopped 74 of 79 shots in his last three outings, which were all wins against Vancouver. Andersen has a win over Montreal this year and he has performed well against the Canadiens during his career with a record of 8-3-2, a 2.67 goals-against average and .919 save percentage.

Bargain Bin: Alexandar Georgiev (NYR) - $7,200 (FanDuel), $7,300 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)
