NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are three games scheduled tonight.

Forwards:

Jonathan Huberdeau (Florida) – W - $8,100 FanDuel, $6,600 DraftKings, $28 Yahoo

Huberdeau had another superb season with 20 goals and 61 points in 55 contests and he hasn’t missed a beat in the playoffs. He’s scored two goals and 10 points in five postseason games, making him one of the principal reasons Florida is still in this series. If the Panthers are to force a Game 7, they’ll likely need another strong showing from Huberdeau tonight.

Aleksander Barkov (Florida) – C - $7,900 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings, $31 Yahoo

Perhaps it’s a mistake to recommend leaning in on the Panthers by recommending two of their forwards off the bat, but Barkov has been remarkably consistent in both Florida wins and losses. He’s on a nine-game point streak that dates back to the regular season and he’s recorded at least a point in 13 of his last 15 contests. For the 2021 playoffs specifically, he has a goal and seven points in five games.

Mark Stone (Vegas) – W - $7,600 FanDuel, $6,700 DraftKings, $30 Yahoo

Stone found the back of the net on Monday to extend his goal scoring streak to three contests. He’s now up to four goals and five points in five postseason contests this year. He was also great in the regular season with 21 goals and 61 points in 55 contests.

Bargain Bin: Jordan Eberle (NYI) - $6,300 FanDuel/$4,400 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Anthony Beauvillier (NYI) - $5,800 FanDuel/$4,900 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Patric Hornqvist (FLA) - $5,500 FanDuel/$5,600 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Alex Killorn (TBL) - $5,200 FanDuel/$3,900 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Sam Bennett (FLA) - $5,100 FanDuel/$5,500 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Josh Bailey (NYI) - $4,900 FanDuel/$3,300 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Alex Tuch (VGK) - $4,800 FanDuel/$5,000 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Chandler Stephenson (VGK) - $4,600 FanDuel/$4,500 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo
Defensemen:

Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) - $6,300 FanDuel, $6,200 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

We’re still early in the playoffs, but so far Hedman is leading the defensemen scoring race with seven assists in five contests. A lot of his success has come on the power play, which accounts for six of his postseason points so far.

Bargain Bin: Matt Dumba (MIN) - $4,700 FanDuel/$4,500 DraftKings/$14 Yahoo, Ryan McDonagh (TBL) - $4,000 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo

Goaltenders:

Marc-Andre Fleury (Vegas) - $8,200 FanDuel, $8,200 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Fleury stopped just 10 of 13 shots on Monday, but he’s been effective enough overall in the Golden Knight’s series against Minnesota that I think we can look past that. He still has a 1.40 GAA and .946 save percentage in five postseason starts this year. Vegas is coming into this game with another opportunity to finish their series against the Wild and there’s a good chance that this time they’re able to convert.

Bargain Bin: Ilya Sorokin (NYI) - $7,700 FanDuel/$7,900 DraftKings/$31 Yahoo
