NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Tuesday night has eight games scheduled, including a 6:00pm ET start that some formats don’t include (NOTE: At the time of writing, the 6pm ET game hasn't been officially postponed due to COVID, but it looks like it will be).

Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton) – C – $8,200 FanDuel, $8,200 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Connor McDavid is an amazing forward having an amazing season, but if you want a player who has been doing almost as good at a lower price, then Draisaitl is who you should take. Draisaitl has eight goals and 25 points in 14 contests to rank second in the scoring race. The reigning Hart Trophy winner is on a 10-game point streak, recording eight goals and 20 points over that span.

Alex DeBrincat (Chicago) – W - $6,600 FanDuel, $6,600 DraftKings, $20 Yahoo

DeBrincat scored 41 goals and 76 points in 82 games as a sophomore in 2018-19, but he took a big step backwards in 2019-20 with 18 goals and 45 points in 70 contests. Now he seems to be bouncing back. He’s scored six goals and 12 points in nine games, including nine points over his last five contests. With those kinds of numbers, he’s great value at his current price point.

Elias Lindholm (Calgary) – C - $6,100 FanDuel, $6,000 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

If you want a consistent contributor at a mid-ranged price, then Lindholm is your man. He’s only been held off the scoresheet twice in his first 12 games this season. He’s up to three goals and 12 points in 11 contests in 2020-21.

Shea Theodore (Vegas) - $6,400 FanDuel, $7,200 DraftKings, $26 Yahoo

Theodore has chipped in regularly, recording at least a point in seven of his first nine games. That’s incredible offensive consistency, especially for a defenseman. He has three goals and six assists in 2020-21.

Tyson Barrie (Edmonton) - $5,400 FanDuel, $5,700 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

Barrie was a great value signing for the Oilers over the offseason and he’d be a great value addition to your team as well. He’s up to a goal and 10 points in 14 contests this season. It helps that he’s been hot lately with eight points in his last six games.

Thomas Chabot (Ottawa) - $5,100 FanDuel, $6,200 DraftKings, $17 Yahoo

Chabot a talented offensive defenseman and his low price point makes him particularly desirable. He is a little less appealing in DraftKings, but even there he’s worthy of consideration. He has three goals and seven points in 12 games and that’s a pace he could maintain throughout the season.

Bargain Bin: Miro Heiskanen (DAL) - $5,100 FanDuel/$5,400 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Ryan Ellis (NAS) - $4,900 FanDuel/$5,200 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Keith Yandle (FLA) - $4,400 FanDuel/$5,300 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Alec Martinez (VGK) - $4,100 FanDuel/$5,600 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo.

Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay) - $8,700 FanDuel, $8,000 DraftKings, $39 Yahoo

Vasilevskiy is the safe bet most days. He’s been great for years now and has been dominate again this season with a 7-1-1 record, 1.88 GAA, and .931 save percentage in nine starts. The Lightning will face Nashville tonight, which is a team that ranks near the bottom of the league in goals per game.

Kevin Lankinen (Chicago) - $7,200 FanDuel, $7,300 DraftKings, $26 Yahoo

The Blackhawks might not be a great team, but Lankinen has been a pretty good goaltender so far. Through eight starts he has a 4-1-3 record, 2.32 GAA, and .928 save percentage, making his price point very good value. He’ll be up against the Dallas Stars, who were rolling offensively at the start of the season, but have cooled down recently.

Bargain Bin: John Gibson (ANA) - $6,700 FanDuel/$7,000 DraftKings/$30 Yahoo
