NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are two games scheduled for Tuesday.

Forwards:

Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) – W - $8,400 FanDuel, $8,200 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Kucherov has been amazing in the 2021 playoffs with five goals and 17 points in 10 games. His contributions have been reasonably spread out too. He’s only been held off the scoresheet twice in those 10 contests.

Max Pacioretty (Vegas) – W - $7,600 FanDuel, $7,000 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Pacioretty returned to the Golden Knights’ lineup on May 28 and since then he’s recorded a point in five consecutive contests. He kept that run going on Sunday with a goal. Vegas has rallied back from a 2-0 series deficit to even the series and if they’re going to take the edge in Game 5 tonight, they’ll likely need another strong performance from Pacioretty.

William Karlsson (Vegas) – C - $5,400 FanDuel, $5,200 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

Karlsson stepped up on Sunday with three assists. That’s also the fourth time in the span of five games that he’s contributed at least a point. He’s up to three goals and nine points in 11 postseason contests in 2021, making him a pretty good value pick.

Bargain Bin: Jordan Staal (CAR) - $5,300 FanDuel/$4,400 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Reilly Smith (VGK) - $4,700 FanDuel/$3,900 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Brandon Saad (COL) - $4,700 FanDuel/$3,400 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

Defensemen:

Cale Makar (Colorado) - $6,300 FanDuel, $6,100 DraftKings, $28 Yahoo

Makar was held off the scoresheet on Sunday, but that was just his second pointless game of the 2021 playoffs. Overall, he’s had a fantastic run with two goals and nine points in eight postseason contests this year.

Bargain Bin: Alec Martinez (VGK) - $5,100 FanDuel/$5,300 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Samuel Girard (COL) - $4,700 FanDuel/$3,900 DraftKings/$15 Yahoo, Ryan Graves (COL) - $4,100 FanDuel/$4,300 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Erik Cernak (TBL) - $3,800 FanDuel/$3,400 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo

Goaltenders:

Marc-Andre Fleury (Vegas) - $7,600 FanDuel, $7,500 DraftKings, $32 Yahoo

In a game between Colorado and Vegas, guessing who will win is a roll of the dice. At least though, even when Fleury loses its not a disaster. He hasn’t allowed more than three goals in any game so far in the 2021 playoffs. He’s been a key part of the Golden Knights’ success thus far with a 1.79 GAA and .924 save percentage in 10 playoff starts this year.

Bargain Bin: Alex Nedeljkovic (CAR) - $7,400 FanDuel/$7,600 DraftKings/$26 Yahoo
