NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are seven games in the NHL on Sunday.

Forwards

Connor McDavid (Edmonton) - C - $8,700 (FanDuel), $15,900 (DraftKings), $35 (Yahoo)

You can never go wrong in taking McDavid in a DFS league (well, once in a while he is held scoreless, but that is rare). He is fifth in the NHL scoring race with 27 points but should get real hot soon and shoot to the top. He is the best player in the NHL.

Jonathan Huberdeau (Florida) - W - $7,200 (FanDuel), $7,200 (DraftKings), $ 25 (Yahoo)

Huberdeau has a four-game points streak in which he has four goals and seven points to give him 20 points thus far in 16 games. He gets a lot of time with Aleksander Barkov especially on the power play but he has yet to score with the man-advantage. That should change shortly as Huberdeau is too talented.

Brock Boeser (Vancouver) - W - $7,200 (FanDuel), $6,400(DraftKings), $24 (Yahoo)

The 22-year-old is finally healthy and has seven goals and 17 points in 17 games this season. He is a sniper but has yet to get 30 goals in a season due to injuries. He is averaging close to three shots per game with 50 in 17 contests.

Bargain Bin:  Anthony Mantha (Detroit) - W - $6,400 (FanDuel)/$5,500 (DraftKings)/ $ 22 (Yahoo) ,  Travis Konecny (Philadelphia) - W - $6,200 (FanDuel)/$5,200 (DraftKings)/ $18 (Yahoo) ,  James Neal (Edmonton) -W- $5,500 (FanDuel)/$12,600 (DraftKings)/ $22 (Yahoo)   Elias Pettersson -C- (Vancouver) - $7,200 (FanDuel)/$7,200 (DraftKings) /$ 28 (Yahoo)  Ryan Strome (New York Rangers) –C- (FanDuel) $5,500/(DraftKings) $4,700/ $ 19 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Alexander Edler (Vancouver) - $5,500 (FanDuel), $6,000 (DraftKings), $ 22 (Yahoo)

Edler is off to a good start with the Canucks as he has 11 points in 17 games including five assists in his last 10 contests. The Canucks play New Jersey Sunday and that has not been the toughest of matchups this season.

Shayne Gostisbehere (Philadelphia) - $4,800 (FanDuel), $3,700 (DraftKings), $14 (Yahoo)

Gostisbehere has started to turn his season around after a tough start and could be back on the the top power play after losing the spot to Ivan Provorov a couple of weeks ago. He is a great price and worth a shot if you need the cap space.

Bargin Bin:

Miro Heiskanen (Dallas) - $4,600 (FanDuel)/$5,000 (DraftKings)/ $17 (Yahoo) Tony DeAngelo (New York Rangers) - $4,600 (FanDuel), $4,800 (DraftKings)/ $18 (Yahoo) Erik Gustafsson (Chicago) - $4,000 (FanDuel), $3,600 (DraftKings)/ $15 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Mike Smith (Edmonton) - $8,100 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings), $32 (Yahoo)

Smith was the third star of the week last week and has played quite well this season, even with his giving up three goals on 23 shots to St. Louis earlier in the week. The Ducks are not a high scoring team and it seems like a good spot to take the netminder Sunday.

Bargain Bin:

Henrik Lundqvist (New York Rangers)- $7,600 (FanDuel)/$7,500 (DraftKings)/$23  (Yahoo) Michael Hutchinson (Toronto) $7,200 (FanDuel)/$7,800 (DraftKings)/ $22(Yahoo)
