Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBCSports Edge’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are six games in the NHL on Sunday. The Ottawa-Calgary game is a flex on Draft Kings so the prices are high.

Forwards

Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton), C - $9,800 (FanDuel), $8,800 (Draft Kings), $35 (Yahoo)

The hottest player in the NHL, Draisaitl has nine goals and 15 points in his last six games, all coming in November. Draisaitl leads the NHL with 14 goals and 28 points in just 13 games, three points ahead of teammate Connor McDavid. Draisaitl is expensive but definitely worth it while he is so hot.

Alex Ovechkin (Washington), W - $9,500 (FanDuel), $9,100 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

Ovechkin is almost as hot as Draisaitl as he is third in NHL scoring with 12 goals and 24 points this season. Ovechkin has three goals and six assists in his last five games as the 36-year-old continues to defy Father Time.

Vladimir Tarasenko (St. Louis), W - $7,600 (FanDuel), $6,300 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Tarasenko has scored in each of his last two games after going the three previous games without a point. Tarasenko has returned to being an outstanding offensive threat after struggling through three shoulder surgeries in the last few years. He was limited to only 10 games in 2019-20 and 24 last season and had only seven goals in the two injury-filled years. He is back on track this season with six goals and 13 points in 13 games.

Bargain Bin: Jeff Carter (Pittsburgh), C $6,300 (FanDuel), $6,000 (Draft Kings), $21 (Yahoo), Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim), C $5,700 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Andrew Mangiapane (Calgary), W $5,200 (FanDuel) $11,700 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Chris Kreider (NY Rangers), W $6,500 (FanDuel), $6,500 (Draft Kings), $18 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Adam Fox (NY Rangers), $6,900 (FanDuel), $7,200 (DraftKings), $26 (Yahoo)

Last season’s Norris Trophy winner, Fox has not let up to start the 2021-22 season, as he has three goals and 15 points in 14 games. Fox has two goals and 10 points in his last seven games and is the offensive engine from the blueline that powers the Rangers power play.

Kevin Shattenkirk (Anaheim), $4,900 (FanDuel), $6,100 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

The Ducks are a viable team this season and are led on the blueline by Shattenkirk who has four goals and 13 points in 15 games. He is quarterbacking the Anaheim power play and has seven assists with the man-advantage thus far. He has returned after a poor season last year where he had only 15 points in 55 games. He is a great price in both FanDuel and Yahoo.

Bargain Bin:

Calle Rosen (St. Louis), $3,500 (FanDuel), $2,900 (DraftKings), $11 (Yahoo), Chris Wideman (Montreal), $3,500 (FanDuel), $2,700 (Draft Kings), $10 (Yahoo), Oliver Kylington (Calgary), $4,100 (FanDuel), $8,700 (Draft Kings), $15 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Jacob Markstrom (Calgary), $8,100 (FanDuel), $16,200 (Draft Kings), $40 (Yahoo)

Markstrom has lost each of his last two starts but gets the injury-depleted Ottawa Senators Sunday who are tired after playing Saturday against Pittsburgh. Markstrom is 5-3-3 this season with a 1.81 GAA and a .935 save percentage despite the last pair of losses and is the play of the day Sunday.

Other plays:

John Gibson (Anaheim), $7,600 (FanDuel), $7,900 (DraftKings), $33 (Yahoo)
