NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports Edge’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster five players (a captain at 1.5 times the value and four other players and no goaltenders) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for six players (a captain at 1-5 times the value and five other players). Yahoo has a $130 cap for five players (a superstar at 1.5 times the value as well as four other players).

The Dallas Stars face the Ottawa Senators in the only game Sunday.

Miro Heiskanen (Dallas) - $12,000 (FanDuel), $17,100 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo)

Heiskanen scored the overtime winner for Dallas on Thursday and could get a boost in his playing time on the power play as John Klingberg missed Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury and is questionable for Sunday’s tilt. Heiskanen is one of the NHL’s best young defenseman and could go off against the Senators.

Tim Stutzle (Ottawa) - $9,500 (FanDuel), $9,300 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo)

Stutzle is only 19 and yet this is his second season in the NHL as he had 12 goals and 17 assists last season. He is talented offensively and will be one of the league’s best scorers in the future. He has one assist in his first two games, both against the Maple Leafs.

Josh Norris (Ottawa) - $11,000 (Fan Duel), $11,100 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo)

Norris was a contender for the Calder Trophy last season and deservedly so as he had 17 goals and 35 points in 56 games, finishing fourth in the voting, behind Kirill Kaprizov, Jason Robertson and Alex Nedeljkovic. He scored once on Saturday with Ottawa’s only goal and it was a power play effort. Norris has a lot of upside and is worth a spot on your DFS squad Sunday.

Connor Brown (Ottawa) - $8,500 (FanDuel), $7,800 (Draft Kings), $21 (Yahoo)

Brown has been held off the scoresheet in the Senators first two games of the season after setting a career-high in goals last season with 21 in the 56-game schedule. He had 35 points last season and was a plus-one on an up-and-coming Ottawa team. He is seeing second line action with Shane Pinto and Nick Paul as well as on the second power play.

Tyler Ennis (Ottawa) - $7,000 (FanDuel), $3,000 (Draft Kings), $11 (Yahoo)

Ennis has been a pleasant surprise in the early going after joining the Senators on a PTO during training cam and eventually making the team. He leads Ottawa with a goal and three points in two games and will try to add to his totals on Sunday.

Anton Khudobin (Dallas) – No Value (FanDuel), $ 17,100 (Draft Kings), $26 (Yahoo)

There are no goaltenders in FanDuel so this is just for Draft Kings and Yahoo. Khudobin is in a battle for the goaltending job in Dallas as there are four pretenders. One, Jake Oettinger, has been sent to the minors as he does not need waivers. Ben Bishop is still recovering from surgery in the 2020 off-season and Braden Holtby had the start on Thursday and Saturday. Khudobin is 8-0-2 against Ottawa in his NHL career.

Bargain Bin:

Drake Batherson (Ottawa) - $9,000 (FanDuel), $10,200 (Draft Kings), $14 (Yahoo), Esa Lindell (Dallas) – $6,500 (FanDuel), $10,500 (Draft Kings), $15 (Yahoo), Thomas Chabot (Ottawa) - $12,500 (FanDuel), $12,900 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo)
