NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders. Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports Edge’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out NBCSports Edge Player News, and follow @NBCSEdgeHK and @mfinewaxhockey on Twitter.

There are seven games in the NHL on Sunday.

Forwards

Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh) - C - $8,500 (FanDuel), $7,600 (Draft Kings), $34 (Yahoo)

Crosby has played quite well of late and has had a pair of three-point games in his last four contests. Crosby is up to 16 goals and 47 points in 40 games and it is amazing to see how close his stats are compared to last season when he was hurt. Crosby is never a bad play and has two goals and six points in four games against the Devils, Sunday’s opponent, this season.

Patrice Bergeron (Boston) - C - $7,800 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)

Bergeron is on a seven-game points streak with six goals and nine points to give him 35 points in 38 games this season. He has been prolific on the power play with six goals and 12 points and plays on what could be the top line in the NHL with Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak.

Mikko Rantanen (Colorado) - W - $8,600 (FanDuel), $7,700 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

There are not too many players having as good a season as the Colorado winger as Rantanen has 23 goals and 47 points in 40 games. Rantanen also plays on one of the best lines in hockey with Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog and is one of the more underrated players in the league. He has seven goals and 17 points with the man-advantage and plays his eighth and final game against Anaheim Sunday. He has scored seven times with an assist in the seven previous games against the Ducks.

Mark Stone (Vegas) - W - $7,100 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)

Stone has a goal and five points in five games against Arizona this season. The Golden Knights top star has 42 points in 38 games this season and is a good price in DFS Sunday.

Bargain Bin: Jared McCann (Pittsburgh) – C/W - $4,500 (FanDuel), $5,200 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo), Pavel Zacha (New Jersey) – C - $4,300 (FanDuel), $4,000 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo) Victor Olofsson (Buffalo) – W - $4,900 (FanDuel) $4,500 (DraftKings), $12 (Yahoo), Tom Wilson (Washington) – W - $5,200 (FanDuel), $4,400 (Draft Kings), $15 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Cale Makar (Colorado) - $5,700 (FanDuel), $5,700 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)

Makar saw his four-game points streak come to an end on Friday but the defenseman is still an offensive machine with 27 points in 28 games, including 13 points with the man-advantage. The Avs have an outstanding blueline but Makar is the best of the bunch.

Rasmus Dahlin (Buffalo) - $4,100 (FanDuel), $3,500 (DraftKings), $11 (Yahoo)

Dahlin got off to a horrific start this season but has been playing a lot better under interim coach Don Granato who has allowed him the freedom to take risks, both offensively and defensively. While his three goals and 17 points in 40 games is nothing special, the first overall pick in the 2018 Draft has a four-game points streak including a goal and four helpers. He is undervalued in DFS Sunday and worth a pick.

Bargain Bin:

John Klingberg (Dallas) - $5,400 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo),

Samuel Girard (Colorado) $4,500 (FanDuel), $4,800 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Philipp Grubauer (Colorado) - $8,500 (FanDuel), $8,400 (Draft Kings), $41 (Yahoo)

Grubauer is coming off his worst game as a goalie in the NHL as he gave up seven goals on 18 shots to Minnesota before being pulled in the third period. Even with that bad outing, Grubauer has been absolutely amazing this season as he is 24-8-1 with a 2.00 GAA and a .919 save percentage. He is 4-1-0 against the Ducks this season and is worth his high price in DFS.

Other plays: Juuse Saros (Nashville) - $7,700 (FanDuel), $7,500 (DraftKings), $37 (Yahoo)
