NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports Edge’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out NBCSports Edge Player News, and follow @NBCSEdgeHK and @mfinewaxhockey on Twitter.

There are six games in the NHL on Sunday.

Forwards

Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh) - C - $8,000 (FanDuel), $8,100 (Draft Kings), $34 (Yahoo)

Crosby has been on quite a run since March 1 with 32 points in 23 games and is tied for third place in NHL scoring since that date, one behind Nathan MacKinnon and two in arrears of Mikko Rantanen. Overall, Crosby hit the 50-point mark Saturday with an assist and is tied for ninth in overall NHL scoring.

Chandler Stephenson (Vegas) – C - $4,500 (FanDuel), $4,500 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo)

Stephenson has been hot of late with three goals and six points in his last five games. He is centering the top line in Vegas with Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone on the wing and has 10 goals and 26 points in 38 games. He is a big bargain and will fill out your roster nicely as the Golden Knights face Anaheim.

Mitch Marner (Toronto) - W - $7,600 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings), $33 (Yahoo)

The Maple Leafs take on Vancouver and the Canucks have not played in 25 days, so they should be rusty from a lack of play as well as tired as so many are getting over the coronavirus. Marner leads the Maple Leafs with 54 points this season, fourth-best in the NHL.

Mark Stone (Vegas) - W - $7,200 (FanDuel), $6,500 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)

Stone has a goal and seven points in six games against Anaheim this season. The Golden Knights top star has 48 points in 42 games this season and is a good price in DFS Sunday. He is on a three-game multi-points streak with two points in each of the three contests.

Bargain Bin: Patrice Bergeron (Boston) - C - $7,600 (FanDuel), $14,400 (DraftKings), $31 (Yahoo), Casey Mittelstadt (Buffalo) – C - $3,800 (FanDuel), $3,300 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo) Taylor Hall (Boston) – W - $6,100 (FanDuel) $15,100 (DraftKings), $12 (Yahoo), Anthony Mantha (Washington) – W - $4,900 (FanDuel), $11,700 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Kris Letang (Pittsburgh) - $6,300 (FanDuel), $6,200 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

When healthy, Letang is still one of the top offensive defensemen in the NHL. This season he remains healthy, just like last season, and has seven goals and 35 points in 43 games, tied for fifth best among defensemen in points. Playing with Crosby doesn’t hurt.

Adam Fox (New York Rangers) - $6,100 (FanDuel), $6,700 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)

Fox has been the hottest of hot defensemen of late as he has 25 points since March 17 and has moved into third place among blueliners with 40 points. He has a goal and seven points against the Devils, Sunday’s opponent, this season. He is a bargain in FanDuel and Yahoo.

Bargain Bin:

Mike Reilly (Boston) - $4,200 (FanDuel), $6,900 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo),

Brian Dumoulin (Pittsburgh) $3,800 (FanDuel), $4,100 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Jack Campbell (Toronto) - $8,400 (FanDuel), $8,200 (Draft Kings), $41 (Yahoo)

Campbell has been shaky the last two games and was pulled Thursday against the Jets after giving up three goals on six shots in 13:49 of action. But before that, he set an NHL record with 11 straight wins to start the season. He has a 2.19 GAA and a .922 save percentage and goes against the rusty Vancouver Canucks who as mentioned earlier, have not played in three-and-a-half weeks.

Other plays: Tuukka Rask (Boston) - $7,900 (FanDuel), $14,700 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)
