NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Monday has two games on tap.

Forwards:

David Pastrnak (Boston) - W - $7,900 (FanDuel), $8,300 (DraftKings), $32 (Yahoo)

Pastrnak has two assists and 11 shots in his past three outings after opening Boston’s second round series with a hat trick. He missed on a golden scoring chance in Game 4 that he probably couldn’t replicate if he tried, but still managed to pick up a power-play helper and four shots on target. Pastrnak should get back to scoring goals soon and returning to home ice on Monday will probably help.

Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg) - W - $7,000 (FanDuel), $6,200 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Winnipeg desperately needs someone to step up offensively in a must-win Game 4 matchup against Montreal. Wheeler has come close to scoring throughout the series, but he has come up empty so far despite posting 12 shots on goal. The Jets need more from their captain on Monday and he is capable of providing it. Wheeler had two goals and five points in four contests in the opening round against Edmonton.

Nick Suzuki (Montreal) - C - $5,700 (FanDuel), $6,000 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Suzuki has picked up one point in six of his past eight outings, while being held off the scoresheet once in the last six matches. He has three goals and two assists during that six-game span, including one goal and two helpers on the power play. Suzuki can also be stacked with Tyler Toffoli, who is riding a five-game point streak.

Bargain Bin: Kyle Palmieri (NYI) - W - $5,600 (FanDuel), $3,800 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Jean-Gabriel Pageau (NYI) - C - $4,900 (FanDuel), $4,600 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), Adam Lowry (WPG) - C - $3,700 (FanDuel), $3,400 (DraftKings), $14 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Charlie McAvoy (Boston) - $6,400 (FanDuel), $5,700 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

McAvoy has been productive in the postseason following a strong showing offensively in the regular season. He has one goal and seven assists through nine games in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs. In addition to his offense, McAvoy has been credited with 23 shots, 18 blocks and 27 hits. McAvoy’s three-game point spree was halted in Game 4 against the Islanders, but he still posted one shot, four hits and three blocks. His category coverage makes him a solid choice for Monday night’s slate.

Bargain Bin: Shea Weber (MON) - $4,800 (FanDuel), $5,100 (DraftKings), $15 (Yahoo), Neal Pionk (WPG) - $4,800 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Ryan Pulock (NYI) - $4,100 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Joel Edmundson (MON) - $3,800 (FanDuel), $3,600 (DraftKings), $13 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Carey Price (Montreal) - $8,500 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings), $28 (Yahoo)

Price has won six straight playoff games, while stopping 186 of 196 shots. He has one shutout and a .949 save percentage during that span. Price has turned aside 56 of 57 shots in his past two outings versus Winnipeg. He will be playing the second half of a back-to-back situation, which didn’t turn out so well for him in Round 1, but with a chance to advance to the Stanley Cup Semifinals he should be highly motivated to put this series to bed.

Bargain Bin: Semyon Varlamov (NYI) - $7,900 (FanDuel), $7,700 (DraftKings), Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) - $7,500 (FanDuel), $7,600 (DraftKings), $31 (Yahoo)
