NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out NBC Sports EDGE's Player News, and follow @NBCSEdgeHK and @CoreAbbott on Twitter.

Monday has eight games on the schedule.

Aleksander Barkov (Florida) - C - $7,900 (FanDuel), $8,200 (DraftKings), $32 (Yahoo)

Barkov has registered five goals and eight points in eight games this month, while tacking on 31 shots and two power-play points (one goal, one assist). He has been force offensively all year and he has three goals and five points in six previous matches versus Columbus this campaign. Barkov can be stacked comfortably with linemate Nikita Gusev.

Mark Stone (Vegas) - W - $7,300 (FanDuel), $6,600 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)

Stone has produced a multi-point performance in four straight games going into Monday’s meeting against San Jose. He has three goals and five assists during that span along with seven shots, two power-play points (one goal, one assist) and a shorthanded marker. Stone hit the 50-point plateau in game No. 43 on Sunday and he has posted seven of those points (three goals, four assists) in five previous matches versus San Jose this season.

Roope Hintz (Dallas) - C - $6,400 (FanDuel), $6,700 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Hintz has been in and out of the lineup this season because of a lingering lower-body injury, but when he’s played he has been all over the scoresheet. He has generated 13 goals and 35 points in 31 appearances, including two markers and nine helpers in his last five outings. Hintz has one goal, one assist and five shots in two contests versus Detroit this year.

Mats Zuccarello (Minnesota) - W - $4,700 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)

Zuccarello has lit the lamp in three straight games going into Monday’s match against Arizona. He has four goals, one assist and eight shots during that stretch. Zuccarello is up to 27 points in 30 games this season despite some struggles prior to his recent hot streak. He also has four goals and nine points in six matches versus the Coyotes this campaign.

Bargain Bin: Jason Robertson (DAL) - W - $4,900 (FanDuel), $21 (Yahoo), Josh Norris (OTT) - C - $4,000 (FanDuel), $5,500 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Mikael Backlund (CGY) - C - $4,200 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Chandler Stephenson (VGK) - C - $4,600 (FanDuel), $4,500 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), Zach Parise (MIN) - W - $3,800 (FanDuel), $3,500 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Alec Martinez (Vegas) - $4,600 (FanDuel), $4,900 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Martinez has accounted for two goals and six points in nine games this month. He has also been credited with 16 shots, five hits and 29 blocks during that time. Additionally, Martinez has one goal and four points in five contests against San Jose this season. He has plenty of bang for the buck upside and should be able to fit into most lineups.

Mark Giordano (Calgary) - $5,400 (FanDuel), $6,200 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Giordano’s three-game point streak was snapped on Friday, but he still posted four shots and two blocks in Calgary’s loss to Montreal. He had two goals and five points during his scoring spree. Giordano still has plenty of fantasy point upside on Monday night as well as bang for the buck potential on FanDuel and Yahoo. He has two goals and two helpers in seven games against Ottawa this season.

Bargain Bin: John Klingberg (DAL) - $5,400 (FanDuel), $5,200 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), Alex Goligoski (ARI) - $3,600 (FanDuel), $4,500 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Brandon Montour (FLA) - $3,900 (FanDuel), $4,000 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Jared Spurgeon (MIN) - $4,700 (FanDuel), $5,500 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo)

Juuse Saros (Nashville) - $8,000 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings), $36 (Yahoo)

Saros is coming off a pair of losses to Carolina, but he stopped 45 of 47 shots in 3-1 defeat on Saturday in his last outing. He had five-game winning streak prior to Nashville’s two-game set against the Hurricanes. Saros should be able to get back on track if he gets the nod against Chicago. He has a 3-0-0 record with one shutout, a 0.65 goals-against average and .980 save percentage in three games played versus the Blackhawks this year. He has amassed 99 saves on 101 shots in those matchups.

Anton Khudobin (Dallas) - $7,600 (FanDuel), $7,200 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

Khudobin is also coming off a couple of defeats, but he has plenty of bounce-back appeal. He lost both times in games that stretched beyond regulation time following an impressive three-game win streak. In two previous games against Detroit this year, Khudobin has a 2-0-0 record with one shutout, a 0.49 goals-against average and a .976 save percentage. He has stopped 41 of 42 shots during that time.

Bargain Bin: Jacob Markstrom (CGY) - $7,500 (FanDuel), $21 (Yahoo), Darcy Kuemper (ARI) - $6,500 (FanDuel), $7,600 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)
