NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Friday night only features two games.

Forwards:

Brad Marchand (Boston) - $8,100 FanDuel, $7,900 DraftKings, $29 Yahoo

Marchand has only been held off the scoresheet once in 11 games this season. His consistent contributions have led to him scoring eight goals and 16 points in 12 contests. He’s high priced, but clearly worth the cost.

Clayton Keller (Arizona) - $6,200 FanDuel, $4,300 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

Keller has recorded a goal and an assist in each of his last two games. He’s been a somewhat up-and-down player in recent years but is at least worth considering when he’s on a hot streak.

Mika Zibanejad (NY Rangers) - $6,100 FanDuel, $5,300 DraftKings, $28 Yahoo

There’s no question that Zibanejad has struggled this season. He has just a goal and three points in 12 contests. However, that’s also led to his price dropping significantly. He’s gone from $8,000 at the start of the season in FanDuel to $6,100 now and in DraftKings it’s dropped even more, from $8,400 to $5,300. It’s only in Yahoo where his price has remained relatively stable, only going from $32 to its current $28. Zibanejad is an elite player and eventually he should break out. If you’re able to catch him when he does, you’ll be getting him at a great price relative to his skill level thanks to the drop. There’s no question he’s a gamble given his recent play, but it’s not a bad dice roll to make.

Bargain Bin: David Krejci (BOS) - $5,700 FanDuel/$4,300 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Christian Dvorak (ARI) - $5,600 FanDuel/$5,000 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Conor Garland (ARI) - $5,300 FanDuel/$6,400 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Nick Ritchie (BOS) - $4,000 FanDuel/$4,400 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo.

Defensemen:

Charlie McAvoy (Boston) - $5,500 FanDuel, $5,100 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

McAvoy is on an incredible eight-game point streak. That’s propelled him to a goal and 11 points in 12 contests this season. With that kind of production, he’s amazing value at his price point.

Bargain Bin: Jakob Chychrun (ARI) - $4,800 FanDuel/$5,000 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Adam Fox (NYR) - $4,700 FanDuel/$5,200 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo.

Goaltenders:

Darcy Kuemper (Arizona) - $8,100 FanDuel, $7,600 DraftKings, $30 Yahoo

Kuemper is getting ready to face the St. Louis Blues for the fourth straight time thanks to a quirk in the schedule brought on by postponements and subsequent rescheduled games. He did great against the Blues in the previous two starts, stopping a combined 64 of 68 shots in back-to-back wins. He’s also been decent overall with a 4-5-1 record, 2.50 GAA, and .913 save percentage in 10 contests.

Bargain Bin: Igor Shesterkin (NYR) - $7,300 FanDuel/$7,200 DraftKings/$30 Yahoo
