NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are five games scheduled for Friday.

Forwards:

Mark Stone (Vegas) – W - $7,300 FanDuel, $6,000 DraftKings, $28 Yahoo

Stone is on a five-game point streak heading into Friday’s contest. He’s scored two goals an incredible 11 points over that five-game span. That’s pushed him up to six goals and 28 points in 22 games this season.

David Perron (St. Louis) – W - $7,200 FanDuel, $6,600 DraftKings, $22 Yahoo

Perron has recorded at least a point in seven straight games and nine of his last 10 contests. He’s up to 10 goals and 28 points in 26 games in 2020-21. If he keeps this up, this will be the best season of his career from a points-per-game perspective.

Brayden Schenn (St. Louis) – C - $6,500 FanDuel, $5,600 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

Schenn is entering Friday’s action on a six-game point streak. He’s recorded three goals and seven points over that span, bringing him up to 12 goals and 23 points in 26 games this season. Those are pretty impressive numbers given his price point.

Bargain Bin: Rickard Rakell (ANA) - $6,300 FanDuel/$5,800 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Timo Meier (SJS) - $5,500 FanDuel/$5,600 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Joel Eriksson Ek (MIN) - $5,000 FanDuel/$4,800 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Brandon Saad (COL) - $5,000 FanDuel/$3,400 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo, Chandler Stephenson (VGK) - $4,700 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Nick Bjugstad (MIN) - $4,200 FanDuel/$3,500 DraftKings/$14 Yahoo

Defensemen:

Thomas Chabot (Ottawa) - $5,500 FanDuel, $6,100 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

Chabot has contributed at least a point in seven of his last nine games. He has three goals and 19 points in 26 contests this season. That puts him in a five-way tie for 10th place in the defensemen scoring race.

He’s been particularly effective lately too, allowing just six goals over his last four starts. He’ll be up against Los Angeles for the second time this season. He stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win against the Kings back on Jan. 19.
