NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are four games scheduled for Friday.

Tomas Hertl (SJS) - $6,300 FanDuel, $5,600 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

Hertl has been on a roll lately, recording at least a point in four of his last five games and six of his last eight contests. That gives him nine goals and 19 points in 25 contests in 2020-21.

Evgeny Kuznetsov (WAS) - $6,100 FanDuel, $4,600 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

With five goals and 15 points in 22 games, Kuznetsov is a solid value pick, particularly on DraftKings. Of course, the fact that he’s red hot makes him a lot easier to consider. He’s only been held off the scoresheet in one of his last eight contests.

Jesper Bratt (NJD) - $4,700 FanDuel, $4,300 DraftKings, $16 Yahoo

Bratt is on a six-game point streak going into Friday’s action. He’s up to three goals and 16 points in 25 contests this season. Those are pretty good numbers given his price point.

Bargain Bin: Kevin Labanc (SJS) - $4,600 FanDuel/$4,700 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Andrew Copp (WPG) - $4,500 FanDuel/$4,500 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

John Carlson (WAS) - $6,700 FanDuel, $6,800 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

Carlson is on a four-game point streak and he’s recorded at least a point in eight of his last nine contests. He’s been one of the top offensive defensemen this season with seven goals and 28 points in 32 games, making him a compelling pick whenever he’s available.

Bargain Bin: Brent Burns (SJS) - $6,200 FanDuel/$6,000 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Jakob Chychrun (ARI) - $5,100 FanDuel/$6,500 DraftKings/$22 Yahoo, Oliver Ekman-Larsson (ARI) - $4,600 FanDuel/$4,100 DraftKings/$12 Yahoo, Josh Morrissey (WPG) - $4,500 FanDuel/$5,100 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Justin Schultz (WAS) - $3,900 FanDuel/$3,400 DraftKings/$15 Yahoo

Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) - $8,400 FanDuel, $7,400 DraftKings, $30 Yahoo

There’s not much to choose from tonight in terms of goaltenders, but Hellebuyck is a solid pick on most nights. He’s 15-9-2 with a 2.65 GAA and .916 save percentage in 26 starts. He did have a really rough stretch from Feb. 15-March 20 where he allowed at least three goals in 12 of 13 games, but he seems to be past that now. He posted a 22-save shutout on Monday and followed that up by saving 38 of 39 shots on Wednesday.

Bargain Bin: Martin Jones (SJS) - $7,600 FanDuel/$7,500 DraftKings/$28 Yahoo
