NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

There is only one game scheduled for tonight, which brings a different format. On FanDuel, you’ll be picking a Captain, who will give you 1.5x points, and four utility players with a budget of $55,000. DraftKings will have you pick a Captain worth 1.5x points and five flex players with a budget of $50,000. For Yahoo, you’ll be picking a Superstar worth 1.5x points and four flex players with a budget of $130. In other words, the terminology and budget changes from site-to-site, but the basic idea is the same throughout. It should also be noted that DraftKings and Yahoo allow you use goaltenders.

Brayden Point (Tampa Bay) - $15,500 FanDuel, $14,400 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

It’s hard to pass on Point right now, given how well he’s done lately. Point is entering Game 7 of the semifinals on an incredible nine-game goal scoring streak. He has 14 goals in 17 playoff games, which is nearly double what the next best player has in the 2021 postseason. You could alternatively go with Mathew Barzal if you want a slightly cheaper captain/superstar option, and you expect the Islanders’ to ultimately prevail tonight.

Other play: Mathew Barzal (NY Islanders) - $14,000 FanDuel, $13,200 DraftKings, $20 Yahoo

Ondrej Palat (Tampa Bay) - $10,000 FanDuel, $12,300 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

Palat has left something to be desired in the 2021 playoffs with four goals and nine points in 17 playoff games, but he has stepped up lately. He’s on a three-game point streak going into Friday’s contest. Given his relatively affordable price, particularly in FanDuel, he’s worthy of consideration.

Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay) - $7,500 FanDuel, $6,900 DraftKings, $16 Yahoo

Cirelli is coming off a great game on Wednesday where he scored a goal and an assist. It’s also possible he’ll serve on the Lightning’s top line tonight if Nikita Kucherov (upper body) isn’t available.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau (NY Islanders) - $7,500 FanDuel, $10,500 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

The Islanders absolutely could win tonight, but the Lightning are the team with hot forwards so it makes it easier to recommend their players. That said, if you think the Islanders will advance to the Stanley Cup Final then Pageau would be an interesting choice. He hasn’t recorded a point yet in the semifinals, but he was amazing in the first two rounds with three goals and 13 points in 12 contests. Maybe he’ll bounce back tonight. He’s certainly cheap enough, especially on FanDuel, to make him worth the gamble.

Bargain Bin: Adam Pelech (NYI) - $7,000 FanDuel/$7,800 DraftKings/$14 Yahoo, Pat Maroon (TBL) - $6,000 FanDuel/$3,000 DraftKings/$10 Yahoo, David Savard (TBL) - $6,000 FanDuel/$6,000 DraftKings/$10 Yahoo, Andy Greene (NYI) - $6,000 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$10 Yahoo
