NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are six games scheduled for Friday night.

Forwards:

Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado) – W - $7,000 FanDuel, $7,000 DraftKings, $28 Yahoo

Landeskog is a step below the elite forwards in terms of price, but he’s producing like one of them lately. Through his last eight games, he’s scored seven goals and 15 points. That’s propelled him to 14 goals and 33 points in 33 games.

Tom Wilson (Washington) – W - $5,200 FanDuel, $3,900 DraftKings, $17 Yahoo

Wilson has been hot-and-cold offensively this season and right now he’s on a roll. He’s scored two goals and five points over his last four games. Through 27 contests, Wilson has nine goals and 23 points in 27 contests. Not a bad pace given his low price.

Jesper Bratt (New Jersey) – W - $4,800 FanDuel, $3,800 DraftKings, $16 Yahoo

With three goals and 18 points in 28 games, Bratt doesn’t stand out, but his recent play has been impressive. He’s recorded a point in eight of his last nine games, contributing two goals and six assists over that span.

Bargain Bin: Zach Hyman (TOR) - $4,700 FanDuel/$5,200 DraftKings/$21 Yahoo, Alex Iafallo (LAK) - $4,600 FanDuel/$4,500 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo, Ryan Getzlaf (ANA) - $4,500 FanDuel/$4,400 DraftKings/$14 Yahoo, Joonas Donskoi (COL) - $4,300 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo

Defensemen:

John Carlson (Washington) - $6,700 FanDuel, $6,500 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

Carlson will be going for an encore performance after scoring a pair of goals on Thursday. He’s up to nine goals and 31 points in 36 contests this season. In terms of defensemen, only Victor Hedman and Tyson Barrie have more points in 2020-21.

Darnell Nurse (Edmonton) - $5,900 FanDuel, $6,600 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

Nurse has been a regular contributor lately, with at least a point in five of his last six games and nine of his last 11 contests. He’s also having a great season overall with 12 goals and 27 points in 37 contests. Nurse is a particularly good option on FanDuel where he’s significantly cheaper than Carlson, but he’s worth considering on all sites.

Bargain Bin: Cale Makar (COL) - $5,600 FanDuel/$5,800 DraftKings/$25 Yahoo, Torey Krug (STL) - $4,900 FanDuel/$5,000 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Samuel Girard (COL) - $4,800 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Erik Karlsson (SJS) - $4,800 FanDuel/$4,800 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Oliver Ekman-Larsson (ARI) - $4,700 FanDuel/$4,000 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

Goaltenders:

Jack Campbell (Toronto) - $8,100 FanDuel, $8,000 DraftKings, $38 Yahoo

Campbell has only made seven starts this season, but he’s been great when he’s been in the net. He has a 7-0-0 record, 1.41 GAA, and .948 save percentage in seven starts. Frederik Andersen has a lower-body injury, so is expected to serve as the Maple Leafs’ de facto starter for now.

Bargain Bin: Mike Smith (EDM) - $7,400 FanDuel/$7,900 DraftKings/$33 Yahoo, Calvin Petersen (LAK) - $7,300 FanDuel/$7,700 DraftKings/$29 Yahoo
