Next is a matchup with the St. Louis Blues in a rematch of the 2016 Western Conference final.
San Jose advanced in 2016 despite St. Louis having home-ice advantage. This time around, the Sharks have home ice, and yet, they're underdogs.
According to MoneyPuck.com, the Sharks face the second-worst odds (46.4 percent chance) to advance to the Cup Final of the four teams still alive in the playoffs, and the worst odds (19.5 percent chance) of winning the whole enchilada. The Blues have the second-best odds in both categories.

Ironically, the Boston Bruins and the Sharks -- 107 and 101 regular-season points, respectively -- are both underdogs to the Carolina Hurricanes and the Blues -- 99 regular-season points, each -- despite having home-ice advantage.
Clearly, the odds place a heavy emphasis on more recent play, as both the Hurricanes and Blues have been two of the NHL's hottest teams dating to the initial playoff push. In fact, no team accumulated more points than the Blues (65) since Jan. 1.
