The Jets placed safety Bradley McDougald on injured reserve, the team announced on Saturday, as part of a slew of roster moves in advance of the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Chiefs on Sunday.
Castillo was elevated from the practice squad last week to step in for Sam Ficken, who injured his right groin during practice last week. Castillo made a 29-yard field goal and an extra point in his NFL debut last Sunday against Buffalo. New York also placed safety Bradley McDougald on injured reserve, activated cornerback Arthur Maulet from IR and elevated linebacker Bryce Hager and wide receiver Jaleel Scott from the practice squad.
Sam Darnold and the New York Jets know there’s plenty more to the Kansas City Chiefs than just Patrick Mahomes and the high-powered offense. The other side of the ball is also pretty potent. The Chiefs are ranked 18th in overall defense, but are fourth in the NFL against the pass.
