Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones turned some heads at the NFL scouting combine, particularly with his 4.39-second 40-yard dash and the best broad jump among receivers (11 feet, 3 inches). But teams now need to have a sense of caution with him as NFL.com is reporting that he has a fractured foot and needs surgery to have a "screw inserted in the foot."
The site notes that he should be fully healed in eight weeks, but that is not going to help him with teams that want to draft players that are fully healthy and want as few question marks as possible.
"Jones was impressive during the gauntlet drills on Sunday, showing fluidity, good hands and body control while maintaining focus," NFL.com notes.
