    The Cincinnati Bengals have some convincing to do in 2017. Coming off a six-win season, Marvin Lewis and the Bengals are no longer a staple of the top 15 or beyond in preseason power rankings, despite a ho-hum offseason with most of the team’s core pieces still intact. Here are the latest offerings, where the Bengals slot 22nd at ESPN.com: “The Bengals missed the playoffs for the first time since 2010 last season, but an infusion of young talent on offense could get Cincinnati back into contention. The Bengals lost Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler in the offensive trenches over the offseason, but seemed to balance the scales by adding explosive rookies such as Joe Mixon and John Ross, not to mention reloading depth on the edges of the defense.

    Bengals vs Chiefs: 5 players to watch in second preseason game

    We saw our first look at what the Bengals could look like last week. More importantly, we saw some borderline roster players show whether or not they belonged. Luckily for them though they will have another shot this week. We should expect to see a little more of the starters this week, but the main thing we will see still is players battling for spots on the roster, and players looking to move up the depth chart. One of the major positions to watch is defensive end where a veteran player could be getting the boot if he doesn't produce more in these next few games. Plus we should keep our eyes on a backup quarterback who had an extremely good first showing, but can he prove that wasn't a flash
