    Patriots fear DE Derek Rivers lost for season with knee injury

    FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots fear they have lost rookie defensive end Derek Rivers for the entire season due to a knee injury, league sources told ESPN on Friday. Rivers, a third-round draft choice from Youngstown State, went down on a kickoff coverage drill in Wednesday's joint practice with the Houston Texans. It was a non-contact injury which had head athletic trainer, Jim Whalen, examining Rivers' left knee on the field. With that practice taking place at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia before the Patriots traveled to Houston for Saturday's preseason game, the club had Rivers fly back to Boston for more tests.     Team building is adorable, and it's even more adorable when it's a bunch of guys that make their living beating each other up. Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey changed the team's Monday schedule so that they could watch the total solar eclipse at 12 p.m. CST. The eclipse will be particularly prevalent in Nashville, where the team facilities are located. In fact, Nashville lies within the stripe through the country that the eclipse will be the most visible. The Titans, of course, barely missed the playoffs last year, losing a tiebreaker to the Houston Texans for the AFC South crown. Here’s a look at the AFC South. The AFC South has been one of the weaker divisions in football this decade. The Texans have taken the division title each of the past two seasons despite going only 9-7 each time. In fact, Houston and Indianapolis are the only teams to win it in the past eight seasons. Now they’ve both been very successful in the first round of the playoffs, but only the 2014 Colts reached the AFC title game. The AFC South has also had just seven wild card qualifiers since 2002. None of them have
