Lions sign former Vikings RB Matt Asiata

The Detroit Lions agreed to a one-year deal with former Vikings running back Matt Asiata, per the Associated Press. Asiata started his career with the Vikings in 2012. Since then, he’s ran for 1,259 yards and 18 touchdowns with the club to go with 101 receptions for 722 yards and a touchdown. His best season came in 2014 when he ran for 570 yards and nine touchdowns while starting nine games for the suspended Adrian Peterson. He had a bad season in Minnesota last season. Cavs-Warriors Part III joins past championship trilogies

Now they meet for the rubber match starting June 1 in Oakland. While this may be unprecedented in the NBA, it has happened once in each of the three

Recruiting mailbag: Local Michigan State commit Theo Day's stock rising

Sean Merriman takes your questions on Michigan and Michigan State recruiting Q: In the coming days and weeks, who are the most realistic recruits who could commit to Michigan? - Cameron Stokes A: This is a loaded question, but I will go ahead and single out a few guys who I believe are Michigan leans and could commit in the near future. First on my list is TE Mustapha Muhammad. The four-star TE prospect recently released his top-10 schools, which included the Wolverines, as well as in-state programs Texas and Texas A&M. Muhammad has been leaning Michigan for a while now, and I'd be shocked if he doesn't sign with the Wolverines. Four-star LB Shayne Simon is another prospect to keep an eye on.
