    Sanat Cruz football star Ashtyn Davis earns contract extension with New York Jets

    The New York Jets are holding on to Santa Cruz High School graduate and NFL safety Ashtyn Davis. Davis is coming off of a career-best with three interceptions in 17 games last season. Over 54 career games, Davis has accounted for six interceptions, 13 deflected passes, three forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. He has also made an impact on special teams, playing in 82% of the unit's snaps last season. Davis was drafted by the Jets in the 3rd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Before turning professional, he attended UC Berkeley.
