In a recent media session, Detroit Lions team president Rod Wood was asked if the organization was working actively to repair the relationship with star wideout Calvin Johnson. I would say nothing (has) really changed. We’re supportive of Calvin’s candidacy for the Hall of Fame, continue to try to reach out to him.
Are there reasons you should doubt the Lions ability to hire the next great coach? Probably a million of them. Are there reasons you can doubt Dan Campbell and his resume and potential ability to be a Head Coach?
One of the biggest concerns fans seem to have about the Detroit Lions’ most recent hires is their lack of experience. Reported head coach Dan Campbell has only 12 games of head coaching experience and none as a coordinator. New general manager Brad Holmes has only ever reached as high as director of college scouting and has done very little on the pro scouting side of things.
