LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Las Vegas Raiders received immediate backlash for a tweet the organization posted following the Derek Chauvin verdict. The former Minneapolis police officer was found guilty on all three charges in the death of George Floyd. The Raiders posted a graphic that reads “I CAN BREATHE,” with the date of Chauvin’s conviction underneath.
The Raiders were one of many teams to release a statement on the Derek Chauvin verdict. Though, the team raised eyebrows with a questionable tweet.
NFL guard and Englewood native Richie Incognito is 37 years old and has been in the NFL since 2005. Although he is at the age where most players plan on retiring, Incognito still wants to continue playing. Even though Incognito is rehabbing from surgery that removed a bone fragment in his ankle, he told The Athletic’s Vic Tafur that he has no plans to step aside anytime soon.
