The Dolphins need to find a pass rusher to put on the opposite side of Emmanuel Ogbah in their 4-3 front, and Phillips fits the mold of what Miami wants. He’s big (6 feet 6, 260 pounds), athletic, good against the run, and possesses an arsenal of pass-rushing moves, which helped him deliver eight sacks last season for the Hurricanes. The biggest concern about Phillips is all the lower body injuries he suffered during his career, and concussions that lingered at UCLA.
Byron Jones was on NFL Network this past week to talk about the Dolphins and discussed a variety of things. Jones will be entering his second year with the team after joining the team through free agency last offseason which brings us to the reason he joined the team. He sees a bunch of young guys and feels the team is being built the right way.
