The Seattle Seahawks have been engulfed in some locker room controversy this offseason, thanks primarily to an ESPN story. That story alleged that cornerback Richard Sherman remains bitter about the Super Bowl loss to the Patriots from several years ago and that members of the roster are upset about the preferential treatment the coaching staff and front office gives to quarterback Russell Wilson. Sherman has adamantly denied the story is true, previously calling anyone who spoke anonymously for the story "cowards", and he recently added that he believes it's a "made-up story" that would apply to any team. Michael Bennett partners with iamtheCODE to help girls and women in Africa

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett is taking his support for women to the next level. The Pro Bowler took to Instagram on Tuesday to share news that he and his wife Pele will be partnering with iamtheCODE to provide 100 marginalized girls in Africa access to STEAMED (science, technology, engineering, arts, math, entrepreneurship and design) education programs. The iamtheCODE initiative aims to ensure women and girls in Africa have access to affordable STEAMED education and hopes to empower one million women and girls to become coders by 2030. The Bennetts, who are parents to three girls under age nine, hope their partnership with iamtheCODE will provide more opportunities to young girls and women who want to become future digital leaders.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday evening that the Chiefs were “slated to interview Seahawks co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer today [Tuesday] or early tomorrow [Wednesday].” As Rapoport said in his tweet, Fitterer is currently the Seattle Seahawks’ co-director of player personnel. In that role, Fitterer is essentially one step under the general manager. One of his major responsibilities is overseeing the team’s scouting departments at both the college and professional level, but Fitterer said in an April 2016 interview
