Oct. 16 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Bengals have promoted linebacker Hardy Nickerson from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster. Cincinnati announced the transaction on Monday. The Bengals also announced the signing of long snapper Clark Harris to a one-year extension and the signing of tight end Scott Orndoff to the practice squad. Nickerson joined the Bengals this offseason as an undrafted rookie free agent. He played in the Bengals' first three games before getting waived on Sept. 28. He signed with the Bengals' practice squad on Sept. 29. Nickerson, 23, played collegiately at Illinois. His father is also Hardy Nickerson, who was a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro linebacker

Oct. 16 (UPI) -- The New Orleans Saints worked out running back Khiry Robinson on Monday, following the departure of Adrian Peterson. A source told the New Orleans Advocate that Robinson was in town for the workout. Robinson entered the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted rookie free agent signing by the Saints. He played his first three seasons in New Orleans before joining the Jets in 2016. Robinson, 27, has 788 yards and eight touchdowns on 194 career carries. He had 22 yards on eight carries last season for the Jets, appearing in one game. The Jets placed Robinson on injured reserve in December due to a broken leg. He was released on March 9 and participated in Jets minicamp on a tryout basis. New
