Five Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders are headed to Iraq to raise the spirits of our troops. Nikki, Madeline, Laura, Rachel, and Kjersti were selected to visit six or more bases in Iraq, where they'll dance, sing, give out Eagles gear, and offer remembrances of themselves to be stored in a very special part of the memory banks of our soldiers.
"Everybody asks if we're nervous" about going to a war zone, [Kjersti] said. On the contrary, "I'm thrilled to have this opportunity," she said.
"They reassured us that the bases we're traveling to are completely safe."
Bless her heart. Have fun over there, ladies. You are inspiring our troops in a way that Donovan McNabb cannot.
