Shutdown Corner - NFL

This play goes down in the box score as nothing but an incomplete pass, and it wasn't terribly consequential in the outcome of the game, either. As a pure showcase of athleticism and instincts, though, it's a pretty incredible play by Troy Polamalu(notes).

No offsides, nothing illegal -- Polamalu just somehow forced a bad throw on a one-step drop screen pass.

The score was 17-0 Steelers when that happened, and at that point, it looked like a mudstomping was in progress. Pittsburgh couldn't finish strong, though. Jacksonville tightened up their game on both sides of the ball in the second half, and actually had a chance to win on the last play. The Hail Mary failed, and Pittsburgh took home a 17-13 win to get to 4-2. Jacksonville is 1-5.
