NFL Week 8 betting: Bettors backing two big road favorites

There’s a lot of betting confidence in the Bengals and Rams this weekend.

Both teams are favored by two scores on the road in Week 8 and bettors are liking their chances to cover the spread. Los Angeles is favored by 14.5 points at the lowly Houston Texans and is getting 84% of the bets and 69% of the handle at BetMGM. Bettors are liking the game to go over the total too. It’s moved from 45.5 to 47.5 as 71% of bets and 93% of the handle are on the over to hit.

Cincinnati travels to the New York Jets and the line has gone from 8.5 points to 10.5 points. The Bengals are getting 80% of bets and 96% of the handle to cover that spread while the sharps are liking the under. The total has moved from 44 to 43 as 74% of the money bet on the total is on the under.

The Bills are also getting a lot of action as a double-digit favorite. Buffalo is favored by 14 points at home against the Dolphins and is getting 77% of bets and 88% of the handle to cover a spread that opened at 12.5 points.

The only other double-digit favorite this weekend is the Chiefs and bettors are split on the Chiefs chances of a cover. Kansas City is getting 49% of bets and 51% of the handle to cover a 10-point spread.

Will bettors regret their Dallas bets?

The Cowboys are now 2.5-point underdogs after opening as 1-point favorites at Minnesota on Sunday night. The line has moved as there’s uncertainty surrounding Dak Prescott’s strained calf. Could Prescott miss the game and Cooper Rush fills in? The sharps are on Dallas to cover as 86% of the money on the spread is on Dallas to cover. Sharps are also liking the over as 90% of the money on the 53.5-point total is on the over.

Lots of money on the under in Cleveland

Just 15% of the money bet on the Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland total is on the over despite the over getting 43% of bets. Case Keenum could get a second straight start at QB for the Browns as the total has gone down to 42 after opening at 44.

On the flip side, bettors are liking the over in Chicago. The total has gone from 40.5 to 39.5 but 83% of the money bet on the game is on the over. That game has the smallest over/under of any game in Week 8.
