NFL Week 4: Deshaun Watson, QBs attempting to line up in the wildcat highlight social media winners and losers

Welcome to Week 4’s edition of social media winners and losers, wherein we scour social media platforms far and wide to determine who dominated the social media conversation, for better or for worse. Let’s dive in.

Winner: Deshaun Watson

Hey, remember when the Houston Texans actually started Tom Savage over Deshaun Watson in Week 1?

Watson had a coming out party against the Tennessee Titans, throwing for four touchdowns, rushing for another, and piling up 307 total yards in a 57 (!!) – 14 win. His five total touchdowns tied an NFL rookie record.

Houston fans were giddy at the sight of their new franchise quarterback.

Though Watson stole the show Sunday, he made sure to spread the love.

Pour one out for any poor Cleveland Browns fans who had to witness that.

Watson’s stellar performance came just a few days after he donated his first game check to Hurricane Harvey victims.

Losers: QBs attempting to line up in the wildcat

The wildcat is not for everyone.

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler simply did not care about looking convincing in the formation Sunday morning in London and it was hilarious.

The New Orleans Saints came out of Wembley Stadium with 20-0 victory.

How’s that $10-million contract looking, Miami?

Later in the day, Atlanta Falcons QB and reigning league MVP Matt Ryan put some more hustle in his attempt to split out wide, but also failed miserably.

Winner: Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles traveled to Carson, Calif. to take on the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at StubHub Center.

Not only did the Eagles dominate the crowd, they came away with a 26-24 win and now sit atop the NFC East.

In related news, putting two NFL teams in Los Angeles seems like it’s working out great.

Loser: Eli Manning and the New York Giants

It’s Week 4 of the 2017 NFL season and the Giants’ leader in rushing touchdowns is … Eli Manning.

Yeah, not ideal.

After another loss, this time to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Giants now stand at 0-4.

But fear not, Chargers and Giants fans. There’s a glimmer of hope.

Winner: Dragon Ball Z

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie WR JuJu Smith-Schuster set social media on fire once again with another unique touchdown celebration. This week, he sparked a heated debate following an 11-yard touchdown grab against the Baltimore Ravens.

Was Smith-Schuster showing off his best Hadouken (from the video game “Street Fighter”) or was it a “Dragon Ball Z” tribute?

Smith-Schuster finally put the debate to rest when he tweeted that his celebration was, in fact, a kamehameha, as seen in “Dragon Ball Z.”

No word on how Smith-Schuster plans to follow this up, but the rookie appears to have plenty of celebrations up his sleeve.

Loser: Al Michaels

Legendary broadcaster Al Michaels had a regrettable moment in Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts when he mixed up RB Eddie Lacy with a guy who … is definitely not Eddie Lacy.

Michaels quickly corrected the gaffe, but that didn’t stop the internet from getting a few laughs off.
