The New England Patriots' playoff hopes may very well be dashed following their disappointing loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday.

They failed to carry momentum over from last week's promising win over the Baltimore Ravens, falling to Houston by a score of 27-20. The Patriots' loss brings them to 4-6 on the season and leaves them even further on the outside looking in at the postseason.

Patriots-Texans Overreactions: Pats' playoff hopes take massive hit

Predictably, NFL Twitter had plenty to say about what marked another crushing loss vs. a sub .500 team. Check out some of the reactions below:

New England's defense struggled mightily containing Deshaun Watson. The Texans quarterback threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score.

Cam Newton, meanwhile, completed 26 of his 40 passes for 365 yards and a TD. Damiere Byrd was a bright spot for the Patriots as the wide receiver hauled in six passes for 132 yards and notched his first Pats touchdown.

Next up on the schedule for New England is a tough matchup next Sunday vs. Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.
