The 49ers dealt with a flurry of leg injuries Sunday. And it has come on brand-new turf, too.
What makes this even more concerning is the 49ers will play at MetLife Stadium next week as well when they face the New York Giants. This certainly must be frustrating for the 49ers and any other team facing the Jets or Giants this season.
The @49ers are being decimated with injuries on Meadowlands turf, where they play again NEXT week.— Jon Swartz (@jswartz) September 20, 2020
Artificial turf, man. I'm not saying that's 100% the cause of that injury, but it certainly didn't help. This is why the 49ers were so cautious about this game but still had to play the game.— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) September 20, 2020
A long list of NFL stars, including Giants running back Saquon Barkley, were injured Sunday. New Orleans Saints star receiver Michael Thomas currently is dealing with an ankle injury, and just wants to see players get healthy.
