The NFL has officially released its schedule for the 2020 season. And the New England Patriots officially know who they'll be playing to kick off the first season of the post-Tom Brady era.

The official schedule release confirmed what had been reported earlier in the day: The Patriots are set to open up the season at home against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have improved since last year, but Brian Flores' team still has some holes for Bill Belichick to exploit. So, the veteran head coach should have a good game-plan in place to make presumed-starter Jarrett Stidham's first game as an NFL starter a bit easier.

From there, things get a little bit more complicated for the Patriots, who are set to play the league's toughest schedule based on records of their opponents in 2019. Here's a look at their week-by-week opponents.
