NFL owners reportedly table discussion on incentivizing minority hires

Earlier in the week, news of an expanded Rooney Rule – featuring new, draft-based incentives for minority hires – leaked: 

The news was met with a great deal of mixed reaction, with responses ranging from generally supportive of the sentiment to deeply dismissive of the actual details. Currently there are only four minority head coaches in the NFL: Washington's Ron Rivera, Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin, Los Angeles' Anthony Lynn, and Miami's Brian Flores.

During this week's virtual NFL owners meeting, however, the proposed conversation regarding those incentives was reportedly tabled: 

What's still uncertain is whether the NFL owners chose to table expansion of the Rooney Rule entirely, or whether that applies to just the specific draft incentives that leaked last week.
