NFL insider predicts MVP season for Broncos QB Russell Wilson
Name a better duo than the Denver Broncos’ quarterback Russell Wilson and his ability to draw up hype from the football cognoscenti. We’ll wait.
First, Wilson wielded the Broncos’ Super Bowl odds to the seventh-best in the league. For context, the team hasn’t had a winning record since 2016. The Broncos haven’t made the playoffs since 2015 as well. So, that’s no small feat.
Then, the football cognoscenti’s Colin Cowherd said the Broncos won the offseason. He added the team “should be a Super Bowl favorite for the next several years.” Thank you again, Wilson acquisition.
Now, CBS Sports insider Jason La Canfora has predicted an MVP year for Wilson next season, his first with the Broncos. That’s music to the ears of fantasy football enthusiasts targeting the likes of Jerry Jeudy and KJ.Hamler in fantasy drafts this summer.
“Dudes like this don’t get dealt in their prime. And make no mistake, he is still very much in his prime,” La Canfora wrote of Wilson. “This is the best cast he has had around him in a long time.”
