The NFL's new league year officially begins Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, meaning free agents are, well, free to sign with new clubs. Big names like Odell Beckham Jr. (Cleveland Browns), Antonio Brown (Oakland Raiders) and Le'Veon Bell (New York Jets) already have found new homes via trade or pending signings, but there still are plenty of players out there awaiting new contracts.

The New England Patriots will be a key team to watch: Do they re-sign players like wide receiver Chris Hogan, cornerback Jason McCourty and kicker Stephen Gostkowski? Will they pursue a free-agent receiver like Golden Tate or Randall Cobb?

Expect plenty of agreements to be made prior to the 4 p.m. deadline as the NFL's legal tampering period ends, as well as a flurry of signings to be finalized right after the league year begins.
