NFL announces the officiating crews for wild card weekend

The officiating crews for the NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend have been announced and the Eagles-Buccaneers matchup will have a solid, veteran crew of referees.

Wrolstad started his officiating career as a field judge back in 2003 and he became a referee at the start of the 2014 NFL season.

The Eagles are 4-3 with him as a referee, while the Bucs are 3-3 with him. Wrolstad last worked a Philadelphia game in 2020, when the Birds faced the Cardinals on the road.

With Jalen Hurts starting at quarterback for Philadelphia, the Cardinals improved their playoff position by beating the Eagles 33-26.

In that game, both teams were penalized 9 times, for 70+ yards per team.
