NFC West eliminated from postseason with Rams’ loss to Packers

The NFC West was considered the best division in football during the 2020 season. Two teams from the division made the postseason and a third almost did, as the Arizona Cardinals were one game from the final wild card berth.

However, while it was the best division, it did not have the best teams. After two rounds of the playoffs, the NFC West is out.

The L.A. Rams eliminated in the Seattle Seahawks in the first round but the Rams were no match for the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers had 296 passing yards and two touchdowns, while running backs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams combined for 164 rushing yards and a score.

With the NFC West fully into its offseason, there is uncertainty for all teams.

The Rams might have questions at quarterback with Jared Goff. The Seahawks will have a new offensive coordinator. The 49ers have lost their defensive coordinator and will have to ask tough questions about quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Cardinals have a lot of players hitting free agency and not a lot of cap space.

2021 will be interesting in the West. We will see if it can maintain the reputation of being the best division in the league.
