WWE Network unveiled the programming lineup Monday for its all-important WrestleMania Week, which includes the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and an expanded two-hour “WrestleMania Pre-Show” and “WrestleMania 30.” The events will stream live from New Orleans.
The first-ever 24/7 streaming network's week kicks off with a press conference in New York City, then turns to analysis for the upcoming event and replays of previous ones.
As the premiere event of the publicly traded company, “WrestleMania 30” should prove to be a very important early test for the new subscription-based network. The schedule for the encompassing week is below:
“WrestleMania” Press Conference: Tues., April 1, 11 a.m. ET
The four “WrestleMania” headliners — Randy Orton, Batista, Daniel Bryan and Triple H — will be joined by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, ”WrestleMania 30” host Hulk Hogan and John Cena to offer a preview of this year's event.
“WrestleMania Today” Live: Thurs., April 3 – Saturday, April 5, 6 p.m. ET
Hosted by WWE's Josh Mathews, Booker T and Alex Riley, the two-hour show will welcome in-studio guests and analyze the biggest matches at ”WrestleMania 30.”
WrestleMania Weekend Marathon: Fri., April 4 – Sunday, April 6
The last several “WrestleMania” events — from 25 through 29 — will air.
“Legends of WrestleMania”: Fri., April 4, 10 p.m. ET
Show will feature a round table discussion with “WrestleMania” legends as they look back at their greatest big match moments.
WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: Sat., April 5, 9 p.m. ET
The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will air live in its entirety, a first for the event. This year's inductees include The Ultimate Warrior, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Lita, Razor Ramon, Paul Bearer, Carlos Colon and Mr. T.
“WrestleMania 30 Pre-Show”: Sun., April 6, 5 p.m. ET
WWE has expanded its “WrestleMania Pre-Show” to two hours. The first hour will simulcast across all WWE platforms, including WWE Network, WWE.com, WWE App, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pheed.
During the second hour, WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos will defend their titles in a Fatal 4-Way match against Los Matadores, Ryback and Curtis Axel and The Real Americans, exclusively on WWE Network.
“WrestleMania 30”: Sun., April 6, 7 p.m. ET
Featured matches include the first-ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, The Undertaker defending his “WrestleMania” winning streak against Brock Lesnar, John Cena battling Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Batista and the winner of a showdown between Daniel Bryan and Triple H.
WWE Network is available for $9.99 per month with a six month commitment. It can be used through the WWE App on TV and iOS via connected devices. It is also available on Amazon's Kindle Fire devices, Android devices, as well as on desktops and laptops via WWE.com.
